Help Four Wheel drive not working.

The other night I pull in the driveway with my truck in 4 wheel drive. Cause we got about 3 feet of snow and I havent been able to snow blow the drive cause the snow blower broke down. Any how I park my truck in the usual spot which is in front of the shed where we keep the snow blower. Since I don't have any electric running to the shed and I needed to fix the snowblower. I turned on the truck headlights. So I could see what I was doning to fix the snowblower. After I got the snowblower fixed I still left the lights on so I could see to snow blow the drive way. Well I ran the battery down in the truck, which I thought was no big deal. I put the batery charger on waited about 20 minutes to try and start my truck. It started up. I let my truck run for about 30-45 minutes to let the truck recharge the battery. Well yesterday morning when I got in my truck to got to work my 4 wheel drive wasnt working. The light on the dash isn't on. and when you start the stuck up it doesdnt come on to let you know that is working. I''m wondering if it's the 4 wheel drive control module of its too cold out and thats why its not working. I have a 02 XLT 4x4 Ranger extended cab.

What's with the long story about the battery? lol

Look at all of the threads regarding 4x4 problems. It could be any number of things. Often times, if there is a lot of snow/ice packed around the transfer case shift motor it will prevent it from shifting. When I use to wheel in Oregon in 18-24"+ of snow I often had to crawl under the truck knock snow out from around the transfer case before it would shift out of 4x4. Get under there, check the connections, and you could also clean the transfer case shift motor for good measure.
