HELP !! No start condition...

I don't know what the heck is going on..The truck will not turn over..It is not a voltage issue..Batt is good..I'm not getting voltage to the starter..No codes either..I turn the key can hear the fuel pump prime then nothing..It's like there is a relay not sending a signal to the solinoind or something..I can pop start the truck and it runs fine like that..

I'm wondering if it's the clutch safety switch...Also this is intermitten..I can go outside and it will start..Then if I shut it off it probably won't again..Totally on a whim..Very annoying..Anyone have an idea of a way to trouble shoot this problem?!?!?!?!

Thanks for any help..

First check your battery cables - not just at the battery but also at the starter and ground points.

I've got relays laying around my garage like it's nobody's business! If you'd like one, let me know what size, the part number, or some other ID and I'll ship it to ya no problem!

Dirty/corroded contacts will do that too. I know that from experience. Had 12v at the starter but no crank. Took a wire brush to the contacts and it hasn't acted up since.

When you try and turn it over is it just the click of the key or is it trying to turn over, and when you try and start it look to see if your lights turn dim.

The starter wasn't even trying...I'm thinking it's the relay that is controlled by the clutch switch..

good morning
My husband have a 1988 Ford Ranger it was running he drove it and parked in the garage but didn't drive for some months now it will not start ,the problem he realise is that no current coming from the distributer to the coil ,the distributer is working ,coil and all but just not getting the distributer to send current to the coil ,what could be the reason .
NB it's a 88 2.9 V6 fuel injector Ranger truck
