Herculiner, Help!

Herculiner, Help!

Well i got some of that herculiner bedliner paint and painted the bottom of my truck.. came out really nice but heres my problem.. i have the stuff on my hands and cant get it off. I tried goo gone, goof off, fingernail polish remover, that orange glo???, paint thinner, wd-40, germ x,palmolive dish detergent and some other stuff.. my hands are really burning lol. anyone know of something that will take it off? some of it came off but its still there.

doesnt the instructions say do not get on skin? i say gasoline or acetone, but neither are good for your skin either.

I had this same problem because I didn't read either. I used a razor blade and it comes off easy just be very carefull not to skin yourself.

I would suggest gasoline too, but it may add to the burning.

i just put some golds bond powder on, they arent burning anymore..

mineral spirits, go to a hardware or paint store and ask them for mineral spirits.

I thought what the package said for thinning and clean up was xylene or xylol or something. I'm remembering way back now from doing the rockers on the Exploder but look for some like xylene or xylol at the hardware store, but I'd wash thoroughly afterwards with something less hardcore.

I used acetone to get it off my arms and yes I did where gloves.

long sleeve shirt should be suffice with gloves. unless you want to walk around looking like your about to do a pregnancy test on a cow

ok Update: the Goof Off has taken 95% off the black off my hands.. im giving my hands a break and ill do some more.

im telllin ya, use mineral spirits, i used to use it detailing when we would undercoat vehicles. took everything off and wasnt overly viscious on you hands.

Xylene or Xylol will do the trick. Just be sure to wash your hands thoroughly with something to get it off your skin. And next time, wear gloves! The blue nitrile ones worked well for me.
