I am planning out a sas for my 00 ranger and want to know what steering gear box is being used up front. Also does anybody know if they make a cobra hood to fit the ranger I found one once and now I cant find it again... Any help would be appreciated

 

any hood for 98-03 will work on your truck. Most folks use a toyota truck steering box. I'm pretty sure from an IFS truck too...but that could be completely wrong on the IFS box.

Do a search, or look through the Project Logs section of the site for about 6 SAS'd ranger buildups. Zabeard, 2002FX4, and others have nice buildup thread.s

 

I have done all of that but nobody really says what the gear box is that they use and I want the cobra hood for mine I cant find it anymore they have them for the f150's but not the rangers....

 

just find a yota steering box at a junk yard
