Horrible Service at Tasca
So i drop the truck off at Tasca Ford in RI. For a Fan clutch. they call me back and say it needs a right front wheel bearing...... one why was it even on a lift and secondly they didn't even mention it need a fan clutch till i was at the desk paying. $770 is this a joke.
I also hate there customer service. i don't like how the have individual service advisers and i can only speak to my adviser not just anyone. I only came to tasca because my dealer (work) was backed up for weeks and i don't have time. |
That sucks. I love their parts department, I use them for everything.

Wirelessly posted (Timberwolf)
Tell them have intercourse with them selves. When a garage does this s**t, I leave and never come back. F**king bloodsuckers! |

Service at a Stealership is questionable at best and their labor rate … wow !
Yes there parts department is good I use them also. |
Their parts are priced nice but I didn't have very good results with shipping. I order a part on-line and somehow they sent it to the wrong address. It ended up going across the US (RI to CA) two round trips and I am still waiting for it. My order was placed three weeks ago.

I thought the idea of not going to stealerships for service came when you buy a vehicle
|
I only go to the dealership when ever there is a recall on my truck.

I think I have heard bad things about them before
|
I've never had service done at a dealership. I did just get an emblem I ordered from Tasca yesterday.

question. what is so special about this "tasca ford" that people have to order parts from them?
not to be rude, but I highly doubt the best place to buy ford parts from is located in a state smaller than most major cities. so, tell me what can this ford dealership possibly have that all the other ford dealers don't? |

There are a few dealerships that sell on-line at a lower cost than what you can get it for by walking in to your local dealer. Tasca seems to have the best prices right now and you can usually get stuff at almost half the price including shipping plus you don't have to pay tax unless you live in the same state. I have had good luck ordering on-line until this last order.
|
Yeah, I order everything from tasca.
another example is my local ford dealer wanted 220 plus tax for a window regulator for a 04 f150 (nbs). tasca was half that shipped |

Cheaper prices, even once you include shipping. For example, I bought a tail light a couple months ago that my local dealer wanted $154 for. I bought it from Tasca for $85 including shipping.

UPDATE! i have the truck back. It got the fan and a right front hub. Every bump i hit i get death wobble. the steering wheel goes left and right violently. also the drivers door has a dent on it. i spoke to the service manager and the body shop is fixing the dent. for the death wobble i didn't notice it till i was on the highway and im going back Friday. My question is why did they have a vehicle inspection check? my dealer flood ford doesn't do this. they obviously touched something to give it the death wobble. well here is the check list

Sounds like a sketchy deal. Yeah defiantly start busting their balls now about the door dent. File a claim or something. They will do anything in their power to avoid fixing it.
The death wobble....not sure, they did say the steering linkage was "red". Sounds like they created a problem to have you bring it back and pay to have it fixed. Lol @ "red" mark for blacked out head and tail lights |
I had a similar problem with a place, not tasca though. I took the truck in for an alignment, they called me an hour later and said that it needed a caster/camber kit, That is legit as it did not come on the truck, they wanted 100 bucks for that even though they were going to buy the kit from Napa. They also said it needed new ball joints. They said it would cost around 700 total for everything. I told them not to touch it. Got it home checked the ball joints, no problems. I think they saw the bigger tires and were going to automatically do the ball joints even if they werent bad. The tires had only been on a week. Sometimes I think places come up with stuff because most people would just say ok go ahead and fix it.
