I like the idea of painted rims but I think a dark gray would look better than black on your truck.

I was also a bit on the fence with the dark grey vs black as well

I like it, but I think you should paint your valance to match. And ditch the amber corners. By far my least favorite part about any 01+ Ranger

I also like it the way it is.. I dont care either way.

your truck has a lot of chrome or silver accents: bumper, step bars, door handles, kc lights. it looks better with the wheels chrome/silver.

I would go with a nice satin black on the wheels.

its a money issue... The wheels are taking major damage from the salt in the winter, and you cant tell from that picture, but all my wheels are begining to corrode pretty badly. Which pisses me off because I have taken such great care of them.

With in a year or so, those rims will look like crap from a distance. So if I can maybe paint them, a darker color, I think it would hide alot of the ugliness.

Ditch all the chrome and It will look sharp. Will look tacky as is though.

IMO...either way lose the mirror caps and handle covers.

well I think ima start off with a grey, so a little bit of experimenting with them, I can always go black, but once I go black, bringing them back up to a lighter color will be a royal *****. So, to start off I think Ill do some dark grey or something...

Not sure why I've recently taken a dislike to chrome (or bright machined finish), but I voted black also.

I voted yes but only if you ditch all the chrome. Otherwise you get can get some after market black wheels with a chrome lip. That would look good and you wouldn't have to get new handles, valence, mirrors, etc.

well I got 2 diff colors... black and dark grey.

The black is way nicer to work with, and the uniformity is excellent.

However, the Dark grey, I think looks a bit 'sharper' even thouh the black looks 'cooler' if THAT makes sense to anyone.

Thanks for the tip on the Gray Zack!

Im going with the Grey.

When I get my new tires, ill get them bead blasted and powder coated. Till then, rattle can for me.

As far as new rims? I would, someday like to get the 15in lvl 2 rims... however unless I win the lottery, I have to make do with what I have since I have other WAY more important things to be spending money on.

Edit: ditching my chrome isnt going to happen on THIS truck.... especially after spending 3 days on my chrome Mirrors to get them to 'sit' correctly
