Does anyone have videos, some pictures, or any information on how to disconnect the throttle cable linkage from the throttle body. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I replaced my entire throttle body cable after I did some other maintenance and found it to be hanging by 'a thread', literally (one strand of cable, actually). But if you remove your intake up to the throttle body, you should find it (and see) rather easy; its (on my '02) just a small stop at the end of the cable, which is then looped/hooked onto the throttle body itself. I don't have a pics, and sorry if this is a poor discription.. I'll see what I can do about pics if you're still having issues later on..

I still need help on this. I'm in the process riight now trying to take the throttle body off so I can clean it, but I can't get the cable linkage off of it. I don't want to break it . can someone help me with this. Thanks
Remove the throttle body cover. Its black and says 4.0 OHC or 4.0SOHC. When you take it off you will see the cable sitting in a little groove type notch. I think it just slips out.
You dont need to remove it from your truck. Just slip it out of its holder and you should be golden.

You got a different setup than mine. I got a 1999 ford ranger theres a little ball that you need to take out of its hole thats where it connects to the throttlebody. I got a can of crc and it says just put a rag under the TB and spray lightly into the TB. I just thought I'd get it cleaner if i took it off.
