How much?

How much do you guys have invested in your rangers? Theory is single cabs don't have as much invested on average...

This is just mods, not price of vehicle.

So much that Ive realized I'm stupid for not selling it years and years ago and getting a 4x4 ranger or a fullsize with all the money Ive blown on this thing.

About 1.2k so far and that's just the start of it. In about 6 years when I get a place when I can really do some work to it and I get some funding in, the number is really going to increase drastically. But by then the truck will no longer be a daily driver and will be a trailer rig.

Too Much !
$1600 Lift Kit
$700 (?) Coil-Overs
$1000 Radio
$500 so far Gauge and Heater Panels (Faces and LED stuff)
$850 Tires
$500 Wheels
$500 LVLi II Rear Axle/Dual Shifters
$1500 upgrades to Lvl II Stuff
$100 Back Rack, rebuilt from Web Buy to fit Steppie
$200 Tool Box
= $7500 roughly speaking...
$ ? LED Tail Lights w/ mod’d Turn signals (in place of backup lights)
$ ? Black Headlights
and the list goes on, so who ever told you a std cab has less areas to invest in isn’t building one.

Things to do $$$ !
Speaker/Sub/Amp = $1000
Front Bumper = $600 w/o mods
Rear Bumper = $$$ your guess - (No one makes this so full fab on it)
Winch = $1200
KC Lighting up front - Four Lights with wiring = $350
Backup Lights - Aux = $150
CB = have but maybe around $250 - special unit
HAM Gear = $$$ who knows
Antennas on the Back Rack = $$$ ?
Lighting on the Back Rack = A set of KC Backup Lights for Cargo etc, = $150
LED Lighting in the Tool Box = $$$ ?
Aux Power Ports either in the Tool Box or near Tail Gate or both = $$$ ?
STX Grille - if and when they make one to fit an 03 or I figure out a way to do make an OEM one fit.
Never ending list… $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ - your call.

When you get a vehicle that you like and plan on keeping there is NO limit to what can be done to it and what you want to do.
Sites like this one have generated more automotive parts sale than is realized; maybe this site should get a kick back on the sales.

Good Luck on getting the short list together for the STD CAB… LoL.

My mile high stack of receipts tell a story that I don't want to here. And that's just from this year. I didn't keep track last year. But as far as I can tell I have $300 to my name and I have made $6000 working part-time this past 2 years so with no bills except gas and insurance...........Over $5000 in it I guess :/

don't haveanything invested yet. the only thing i did to it was to put a bench seat mounted cupholder and a flag pole mount. both mods were cheep.

the cupholder's price was returned to me and i paid 30 cents a screw x2. the pole mount cost me lunch for a member +2.
opps, forgot the tonneau cover i bought off a member for $75.
i also removed my running boards.

total cost $100ish

Wirelessly posted

Maybe the difference in investment money shoulda been married/single. I know if I was single a lot more would be done to it.
