i just ran a kbb on my truck it came up with 21,590 for suggest retail

private party is 17,535
Trade in value is 15,450

now i got alot of mods and normally dealerships dont like them..so IF i did sell id go private..so what would be a good goin price on it?

You wont get anything near what KBB tells you. Especially with gas prices.

You probably remember that I was selling my 04 Fx4. It had around 22k miles on it and the thing looked mint. I had ALOT of people call, but the second I told them what I was asking (about 19k) they said ok and hung up.

If you arent in a hurry to sell, then wait it out and you *might* find someone who will pay what you are asking, if not a bit less. But I would highly doubt it. Right now you could probably get a new 06 for that price.
I would be suprised if you could sell it for 16k also.

I would say your best bet would be to trade it in. I got 15,200 for mine when I traded it in and its still on the lot. (that was just about 3 months ago).

Depending on your dealership (mine is super laid back) they might not mind the extra mods too much. They would probably mark it as a "custom" truck.

Just slap a few for sale signs on the windows, wait for some calls and get a feel for how the market is and go from there.
