How Much Do You Use Your Cruise Control?

I have cruise control in my truck and have used it less than 10 times since I bought it brand new in 04. So my question is how much do you use your cruise control (on the highway)?

ns_red7 Jan 12, 2008 11:14 AM

I got a speeding ticket last week and have been using it quite a bit since.

Ranger_Guy15 Jan 12, 2008 11:21 AM

Not at all now since the dang dealership disconnected it due to that safety recall.

I live in Fl. there is not one road that you can use cruise control for more than 5 mile stretch. Thanks OLD PEOPLE. the right lane is for Exits or idiots who feel the need to haul some ungodly amount of junk on the interstate, not for cruising. The middle lane is for cruising; as fast or slow as you possibly want( within the 40-75mph limit). The left lane is for passing the cars in the middle lane who are going slower than you. Once past them get back in the middle lane and cruise. NO one here understands that. In Wisconsin, it's a ticketable offense not to drive within these easy and efficient parameters.

No cruise control.....so never!

DerangedPony Jan 12, 2008 12:25 PM

I only use it for a trip over 50 miles which doesnt happen much.

bucky919 Jan 12, 2008 12:31 PM

I use it all the time. Theres a few roads here in town that are hard to stay under 30 on so I set the cruise haha

evnmn3 Jan 12, 2008 12:36 PM

My truck doesnt have it, but if im driving a car with it, I use it all the time

thesoundmaster Jan 12, 2008 12:59 PM

if I'm cruising between here and the Springs, I'll use it. In town, people have no clue how to drive so I'm constantly having to punch it and get around them. I "surf" thru traffic (one of those annoying people who jump lane to lane to get around people) so my speed varies. Next week when I get the Ranger back from my buddy's shop, I'll have the CC set all the way home at 50.

^^ me too.. i thought austin drivers sucked, was i wrong!

i use it on long trips if im not following anyone, if im in a pack i'll just judge my speed off them..

and if i know there's a cop around as in i just drove past and im coming back i'll use it, especially in my step dads car.. cop magnet

BOBO Jan 12, 2008 01:29 PM

i got a ticket a cupple weeks ago so now i use it all the time.

04blackedge Jan 12, 2008 01:59 PM

When I'm going somewhere and I'm gonna be on the highway for more than 20 miles I'll use it, I do that a lot tho.

PW01 Jan 12, 2008 02:07 PM

Every night on the way home from work

chriswells78 Jan 12, 2008 03:01 PM

Most of the time, keeps me out of trouble with the law.

which dealership did that? when i took mine to morries ford in Minnetonka, they put a fused "switch" that turns the power off to the cruise control when the vehicle is not running. when we meet on january 26, i'll show you what they did.

garryyjr Jan 12, 2008 03:56 PM

Easy for you to say......when there are three or more lanes on one side of a highway big trucks are restricted to the far two right lanes. Idiots that do **** like that hold up trucks all day long and I'd just like to run them over if the law allowed. So I have to break the law and get in one of the left lanes to pass or I have to break the law and pass someone on the right. Makes alot of sense right? :12:

bwester04 Jan 12, 2008 04:32 PM

I couldnt drive a vehicle without it.
