Is your lower bumper lip smashed upwards? It looks like the lower valance curves up towards the bar...

Yeah- I'm sure it can be trimmed to avoid any pushing. But it dosen't bother me.

I have the bar on my 02 and had to trim the valence to make it work, the bar sits too high without a body lift. You can still use the tow hooks just fine though.

From: Coal Region, MTC to be exact...heart of the coal region.
any more pics of the mounting brackets? those look awful cheap compared to the Westin and my gals held up to a really good collision and the backets survived...those look like they crumble like potato chips.

It is a $169.oo product vs. $369 for a Westin. - If you want to bounce your truck off of boulders or other vehicles- don't buy this bar. If you want a decent looking bar to hang lights off of for a fairly cheap price, buy this bar.

Heres the exact product installed:

Yep, agreed... you usually -avoid- trying to smash the front of your truck up.. and it really doesnt take much to reinforce this bar anyway, I plan on doing it here in the next month or so along with changing some brackets around. Wont be hard in the least bit.
