i found somethin nice on ebay i want for the truck and all i have is a debit card.. i linked that with paypal and then linked paypal with ebay. is this all i need to do? when i go to my account on paypal it says paypal balace $0.00... what does that mean? does that mean my card isnt linked right? do i need to "fill" my paypal account with funds?

 

yes you need to add money or sell stuff and that will go up
but you dont have to i think you can just buy it and it will still pay

Uh no. Think of your paypal account as another bank account. If it says zero dollars then it means u have zero dollars in ur paypal account. Your debit card is still linked and if you make a purchase it will go through. Basically paypal will charge your debit card the amount and deposit it into ur paypal account then transfer the money from there to the seller.

Once you link your card to your paypal account, paypal will send a small amount to your bank account for verification. This will show up on your bank statement. Use the amount to verify your card.

Then you are ready to use your account.

 

So basically, im good to go to buy something as long as i have the enough money in the bank account, paypal will withdrawal that and send it on to the seller

 

Exactly. They will send it to the seller first though so make sure you have the money in your account. It takes a couple of days for it to come out of your account.

That is only if you are using check routing numbers. On debit and credit cards there is no verification.

just make sure to change the funding option (at ebay checkout) to indicate your card rather than your paypal balance.

It will automatically pull it from the debit card if you don't have enough in the paypal balance.

 

The verification comes into play when you receive money. Not when you send money.
