Who cares if the fords are built and last better. Psht
In all honesty, Chevy probably makes decent trucks. But when all the chevy owners I know have their trucks in the shop all the time, its hard to believe

Jimmeh, what about a Toyota?
Personally I have only owned a Ford, but my dad has had every kind of truck from new till death lol and he still has his Toyota at 180,000 miles and his Dodge and Ford gave up around 150,000 and his Chevy died at 170,000.
I love them all, but if I could buy any it would be a Toyota, then Chevy, then Ford, then Dodge. Just my opinion though haha. My Ranger has had quite a few problems for an 04 with only 73,000 on her but I still love it to death.

IMO, they stopped making a quality truck in the late 90's. I had an 87 4Runner when I was in high school that had almost 300,000 miles on it, and even though it leaked every fluid known to man (even urine), it ran like a top.

My dad has owned nothing but chevy (and Scion for his work vehicle) for as long as I can remember. He's had minimal problems. Both astro vans kicked *** and just kept chugging. The Trail Blazer was good for what it was and other than the rear end blowing on the way home from the dealership, it had 0 problems. He's now on his 2nd silverado and the first one (2nd to latest gen) had some front end issues that never got corrected and the 2nd one (latest gen) has been great thus far. I just cant stand the interior rattles.
I love my little pseudo ford (mazda).

ya the 4cyl s10's are garbage. but the V6's arent bad, i have an 88' s15 (looks like an s10) with a 2.8L v6 in it and the odometer reads around 253,000kms, had to replace the oil pump then it blew a conrod bearing replaced that, blew another conrod bearing and said **** it and went to the junkyard and bought another 2.8L and no problems. but it cracked the bell housing so now it just sits and rots in the field until i clean it out and sell it..
oh and i hate chevy's too.. biggest pieces of **** ever.. i will never buy another chevy again!! i've had nothing but problems with mine. my sister had an 85 s10 4cyl 2.5L and it was gutless..
