I went looking at dealerships today, and I came across this oddball:

It is an 04 Ranger XLT 4x4 2DR super cab, value ranger (Has Vinyl flooring and non value ranger XLT's still had carpet in 04) It had Level II guage cluster and the Level II shifter, a slider, a Silver radio surround, and a whole bunch of goodies that are not supposed to be in this low level Ranger. The Back story I got from the salesman was it was a Fresh trade from a Ford Plant employee who just took the buy out. This truck hardly seems to be the kind that was modded so I am leaning towards this guy built his own truck and put these goodies in himself. If it wasn't a flareside I would have bought it today.

I am about ready to give up and just order a new truck as I am not finding anything I like on the used market, I guess thats what I get for being picky.

ya know, my truck has lvl2 gauge cluster, vynil floor..... and other non value pkg goodies.... yet it is a value pkg...

 

talk about being picky.... it took me about 3 months to decide which ranger package wanted... AND another to decide on the color!

You have the silver level II guages in a Value package ranger? I've never seen it and according to my options list it was limited to the Level II.

XLT fx4 all got standard black guages

Edge got white guages

and Level II got silver guages.

I don't like flaresides. It just caught my eye because of how wierd it was. I drove it though and shifting through that kick *** shifter sure made me miss my Level II.

idk all the details, but i know its sitting at zach's with a cracked transfercase

 

That sucks! It sure is a hard luck truck sometimes, The Brakes Exloded on me, at less than 50K it needed a new drive shaft and now this.

i think the driveshaft and the transfer case were directly related

 

What year Edges had the white gauges??

 

04 and up i believe

 

i like that truck if i could afford one id buy it in a heartbeat ( no chevy pun intended there) but hey my old 99 is still going strong and im going to run that one until it cant run no more
