Now im looking for something thats got some performance and is between 5-8 grand used. im gettin a good chunk of change from the insurance and im going loan free this time. I will be buying a beater offroad truck after the winter. For now though any suggestions on a car for me?

Maybe a used wrx or v8 stang? You can find late 90's models for under 10k.

What kind of car are you looking for? like what aspects of a car do you like/dislike? There are a lot of cars out there, you need to narrow it down a little.

Get you a 94-98 gt or cobra. Both you can find under 10k but the cobra will be harder to find. Either way its a good choice to go with. I wish I still had my 96 gt.

look into a 99+ Mustange GT, or if the insurance will be to much just get a V6 and put some nice perf mods on it,

Buy a beater firebird, use that insurance money to put a new crate motor in it and fix up the rest

I would suggest a 97-99 Eclipse gst or gsx...most bang for the buck. Put a cold air on and do a little port on the turbo and your runnin about 250hp to the wheels...My friend has a 97 gst and he might have 10g invested in it and he has about 400hp to the wheels, so its a perty good chance you could get up there quick.

And this blindingly fast car would be? SVT Cobra's with the blower run 12's stock and easy 11's with a programmer and new pulley...
