Information regarding a the make of the Ford Ranger
Hello,
Anyone here have a link where I can get detailed information on How They Make Ford Ranger the the plant ? I am curious about a few things:
How many time it takes to make a ranger
Is the plant open 24/7 ?
If my Truck is scheduled to be built next week, when will it shipped.
What is the average transit time from the Plant to the dealership to Ottawa, Canada.
Anyone knows a good website explaining all the how they do it of the ford ranger or anyone can answer my q's ?
Thanks!

Dude, Travis posted a link.. from it..
"n 2004, a vehicle took an average of 20.77 hours of labor to roll through the assembly line, 3.5 hours faster than might be expected in comparison to other plants. "
Its open 24/7. The rest of your info depends on Freight Carrier and such.
Ayez besoin de ceci en français ?

typical. plant has virtaully no electric bill so they close. stop giving the ceos millions in bonuses and keep americans working. but that would mean using common sense, and in the corporate world, all that matters is the all mighty buck.

If you click on that link, join the free forum, you can ask.
For those who didn't know, you can also get an X Plan Pin number and purchase your new Ford with a Friends and Family discount at this website of Ford Employees. See here:
http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...p?showforum=45 .
I believe the price comes out to 4 % above dealer invoice. Yes, you can sometimes do better negotiating the price yourself, but the Pin number gets you a new vehicle at a fixed price, with no negotiating required.
