Yes, they do emission here, jumped it from $12 to $28

 

The last time I had my honda with tinted windows inspected here in NC, they charged an extra $10. Something about having to use a special tester to check how dark the tint was. Not sure if thats a state charge or just from that jiffy lube place.

Also, this was the same time I had to replace the drivers side wiper...so it ended up costing me over $50 for an inspection. Luckily our local mechanic just became a state inspection place so I can start taking it to him.

 

Guess that explains so many people from Travis coming here for an inspection..

 

Inspections, smog tests, whats that! I love living outside of the metro area! Never had to even when it was the law for the 7 county metro area. I lived about 10 miles outside of it growing up.

We have both state inspection and emissions testing here in the great state of NY. I hate living in a liberal state, too many tree huggers

 

Here in Pa some counties have the full emissions checking, some of 0 and mine has just a visual and a gas cap check.
