Its been real
Well my time as a Ford Ranger owner has come to an end today. Sold my truck this afternoon and picked up my 2009 Subaru Legacy later on today. I must say that being on this site for the past 7 years has been a fantastic educational and cost saving experience. Even though I almost completely stopped coming on here once Christian sold the site I still would check in from time to time and have gotten even more useful information.
For those that dont know, I was broadsided by two deer at midnight Christmas morning, yes they ran into me, and did a far amount of damage. Ended up getting a settlement check to repair it for far more than I would have gotten if I had tried to sell it even before the damage. But over the past 8 months the damage has cause a lot of parts to break down. Along with Ohio salt rusting away my core support and bed floor...but it was a very good truck and will always have a special palce with me since it was my first vehicle
heres the last photos I have of my truck, minus all the things I did as a result of this site ha.
But heres what I moved on to:

Ranger in the garage is my dads. So at least if i need to use a truck i have easy access to one.
Reason I went with the Subaru over another Ranger is gas. I drive about 60 miles a day to and from work and my girlfriend lives 30 miles away too so I was putting almost $250 a month in my tank. Plus I never really used the bed. As surprising as it may seem too, the Legacy was actually cheaper to anything comparable in the Ranger world. When you compare miles, year and 4wd/Awd I would have spent more on the Ranger ha.
GT would have been really nice, but would have been about $4k more for comparable year and miles, plus insurance goes way up and having to use 93oct cuts into my gas savings.
As far as modifications go I really dont plan on doing much. Stainless exhaust and adding stock Subaru fogs are about the extent that I have planned.
