(2) 2006 Silver XLT 4.0 4*4



(3) 2006 Red XLT 4.0 4*4

 

Black looks best of the three (sonic blue is better).

 

i also like the black the best... but that's because black is always best. everyone else is just jealous, lol.

 

I also like black. A ***** to maintain but man, the results are rewarding and alot of customizing accessories, provided you do it right can really set it off!

I like those rims on the black 2007, must be new because i have yet to see them around here. They would look killer if they were polished aluminum! All in all, good luck with whichever truck you choose. -Mike-

Take the wheels from #1 and put them on #2. So pick #2 and ask that they do a wheel swap (they usually will).

I just realized.. there is no chrome on the bumpers anymore on the XLT's,(even though the front bumpers now have plastic covering over them..no outside metal) the only difference between an XLT and Sport seems to be the chrome grille and fender flairs

 

The whipple was too much for Brian's 3.0...or was the 3.0 too much for the whipple lol! The supercharger had an issue which got him a new 3.0 motor. Just summarizing :)

Brian, I would look at the leftover 2006's for rebates and other deals, unless the '07's get the same. I like the new rims on the 07 btw.

 

As much as I hate Black to clean the Black is by far the best looking one of the three.

 

I like the Black one, but I am not crazy about the new wheels. I am not crazy about the other wheels either. Get the Black one and some new wheels, Man I'm good.

And to answer your question, yes I had a whipple in it! My truck itself was too much for the whipple considerin how it used to look! 3.5" Spindle Lift, 3" Body, and 35s Mudders on it! Engine was strong, but I forced way too much boost to it to cause it to go! In other words, I used a smaller pulley in place of the stock pulley on the whipple itself! If I would have stuck with the stock on, this truck would still be whoopin some butt! LOL..

 

Black. I would have said red if it was the brighter one.

I will eventually mod the crap out of the new one when the time comes, so be ready when I call you! hahaha...

I don't really know much about the laws in NY about doin work on the truck here...Every truck I have seen, is basically stock which tells me there isn't much I can do! haha..No trucks here have exhaust at all, which is goin to kill me since I need that rumble!

Can't wait to get back to good ole FL though! Just not J-ville anymore!
