Icon14 just picked this up on the weekend.

picked it up saturday morning for $750. I bought it for my SAS. it an 89 grand wagoneer. im stealing everything that i want from it and my girlfriends dad is buying the rest from me for $550 and hes gonna put it on some 44" boggers and swaping in a 440cc motor from his old power wagon. but that aside, im pulling out the front end tomorrow morning and gonna start cleaning up the axle. gonna start a sas thread in a few weeks wen i really get my stuff together.

What's he going to use for axles if you're stealing those ones?

No kidding, that thing is way to clean to be torn apart and then turned into a buggy. There's people out there that would pay 3-4 grand for a one in that condition.

I must say that is clean. You must post pics up when your girl's pop makes it into a beast.

Quick questions though (because im not too familiar with solid axles)

Ive seen one of these around. Is this axle a good choice for a SAS? Did this axle come in certain year models? Also if I looked under the vehicle, is there a tag saying what type of axle it is?

Sorry for the questions. lol. But good luck on your SAS.

well the body is mint but the frame is kinda rotten around the gas tank so he wants to put the waggy body on the power wagon frame that he has built on 44's already. i only wanted the waggy for the front axle but i figured if i bought the whole thing i might be able to make a few bucks off it. unfortunetly the engine from the waggy is sitting in peices in a box in the shop. that was the only real reason that it was so cheap cuz it doesnt run. but im not really sure wat hes running for axles for the power wagon from but i know its a 60 front and its either a 60 or bigger rear.
