Yep, there are a few threads here about that. I think someone used it for their door window and others used it for other purposes. Depends on how good you are at wiring.

Q: Do you include the wires and other things required to install this? Thanks

A: this a good placement unit

wtf does that mean?

I think what he means is....no there are no wires or anything included...its a good "replacement" unit....meaning just the OHC, nothing else. The OHC's that go for more money include the wiring harness, temp sensor and mounting bracket.

im using the buttons on mine for my door lock/unlock on my alarm.
i just got the door poppers today.

im so sick of having to use my key and reaching over to let people in.

$10 isn't bad, but you would have to find all of the other parts.

i got a everything i needed for my dads for like $40 or something.
look on www.car-part.com and i think its listed under gps/navigation.

if you get one from a junk yard, make sure it had the stupid gray sockets for the lights in it, someone ganked em from the one i got and i didn't notice.

Griggs is probably the best site you'll find. Make sure you cut less and not more. I was nervous about it too, but bit the bullet and it turned out great. Another thing you should do is use drill stops when drilling so you don't accidentally drill through your roof.

Here is a thread on my experience

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...&highlight=OHC

If you type in OHC in the search you'll probably come up with many users OHC install process.

I have the sunroof OHC (not installed yet) which I painted solid gloss black. I cut out 3 more switch holes and put my own switches in for neons, my e-fan, and my turn signal mirrors (blue LED).

Hey i havent installed one yet (or even bought one) but ill mount all my switches for my lights (once i buy those too). I want to run 2 spot lights, 2 flood , 2 rev., and 2 fog. I'll put a fog switch in the stock location ( by the radio) and put the other 3 switches on the OHC

Will do... iv got one set of lights already mounted behind the grill but i need a bull bar to mount the floods... i still have to find fog lights and i want to put the ones from my grill on the back once i find a better set of 2x6 spot lights (the ones i have now are just driving lights) all this has to happen after i buy some couches, i traded my free ones for a gun and pissed of my girlfriend so now i have to buy her a $1600 set.

Yea...see...$40 as opposed to $10. I got mine for $25 at the JY. The OHC's on ebay with everything included tend to range from $40-$80 dollars, depending on the bidding.
