Looking for a cheap mod!!! About $50

I am looking for ideas for cheap mods. I have about $50 to do whatever with right now and I am wondering what the members of R-F think I should do with it. I like things that make it Look Better, Sound Better, or Stereo System Upgrades.

Some ideas I had:
Cold Air Intake
A pair of 6x8 Speakers
Fog Lights (I don't have any currently)

Here is a pic of my truck (almost Current):

Cold air intakes are like $250 and do nothing for your truck.. speakers are a good investment..so are fog lights.

Speakers would be nice. You'll really notice a sound quality difference with a new headunit

If you only have $50 just save your money.

But if you really need to do something you could look for some '06+ mirrors.

I currently have the Pioneer DEH-P7200HD as you will see in my signature. This is pioneers best head unit other than stage 4. The issue is I currently am using the stock speakers and amp.

I wouldn't settle for $50 speakers, just save some money and get good ones.

Saving never really works out for me as I am a college student making about $100 a week and I have to buy gas and some food.

As for the mirrors, Do you know how hard these are to install? I live in maine and have access to a garage but its not heated and it really cold outside so I dont want something that will take hours to install. LOL

Another thing I am considering is adding power door locks:

What I want to know is how hard would these be to install? ( I am not bad at running wires, Electrical is kinda my thing)

Clear corners would be my first mod. You could also do mirrors like Adam said, or 06+ fender badges.

I did mine in black but I taped over the fake bolts in them so the chrome shows. I have the same kind of rims and they came out great. Will post some pics when I get my camera back. You can also use other colors, just be creative and sometimes that can have great results without alot of money.

I was looking through the how to section and saw one on plasti dipping chrome, I think I might do this on my wheels, hub caps, and bumpers.

You can do an overhead console. They're very cheap:

You can get some nice pioneer 3-ways for $50, you will notice a big sound difference from the stock paper speakers. You could pick up a new/freeflowing air filter as well for much less than $50. But, IMO, the best mods are free...( or almost)

* air box silencer mod
* throttle cable mod (if yours needs it)
*paint your stock steelies black, duplicolor wheel paint is like $8 bucks a can. You need a nice warm place to do this though.

Or you could save up for a new cat-back exhaust, Dynomax usually has a $75 rebate going for them about once every year.

Do you have a local Pull-a-Part? If so, go there and check out the '96-'01(?) Explorers. I've bought five of them so far, and four of them were $13 (including the temp. sensor and all the hardware) from my local Pull-a-Part. The other was $35 from a different junkyard that pulls the parts for you, but I needed it quick and Pull-a-Part didn't have any at the time.

ETA: I really enjoy mine. It's nice being able to see the outside temperature as soon as I start my truck instead of having to pull it up on my phone every morning, and the extra lighting is wonderful.

You could also install an Explorer dome light. That's one of my favorite "mods" so far:

50 bucks? I say just fill up on fuel and save some change for some burgers, then go to the useful free how-to's on the forum here. POW!
