looking to get hid's and would like some opinions
so that bug has hit me and i think i want a set. question is what color temp. i know for sure id want 6k for my fogs but my headlights are undecided but its between 8k and 6k. anybody have these combos and could input some? i do like the looks of the blue light but i dont want to much but im afraid the 6k dosent have any.
I run 6K on my quad and it has enough blue for me. Anymore and it just looks dumb.
Here is where I get mine from: DDM Tuning - HID Kits, HID Bulbs, DEPO Lighting, BMW and Porsche Performance Accessories

Personally I like the 5000K
and 3000K
Only reason i like the 3000k is because it make it easier to see in the rain. the blue is reflected of the water and the road looks black the Yellow cancels this out and makes it easier to see

x2. My brother threw his 8000k's on his Honda away and got some 6000k's.
I personally have 5000k (and have a set of 6000k bulbs I can throw in as well) headlights, and 3000k fogs. I love 'em.
My only suggestion is get a HID Relay kit.

I don't know which one I have, but my heads acted funny without them. My fogs aren't on a relay currently. I can tell I'm putting strain on my alternator with the heads and fogs on at the same time.
I have 5000k in my fogs and i think i will get 5000k for my headlights too, it is a perfect white color with the slightest hint of blue but no yellow, my friend had 8000k on his car and it was to blue for me. By the way mine are an HID kit with relays and everything I got them from a seller on ebay, supervtec I believe it was, im happy with them
Recently I wanted a High Intensity Discharge kit for my 2001 Ford Ranger which is a very cool light and better visibility especially during night driving. I opted to go with the single beam HID kit too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty so I got it here Sealed Beam Headlight Kits , or you can try one of the vendors. Also some of the forum sponsors selling Headlight Kits usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great system, and very easy to install.
except it doesn't make a difference if you have a relay... the lights still take the same amount of power, it just means you don't have to run a heavy wire to the switch.
