I may be making a trip to Dallas next weekend (not this one)...what is the package? Does it need to be freighted? Tires?

i bought a welder. it weighs about 150lbs. i really doubt it can be shipped UPS, I will need someone to box it or crate it for shipment.

as long as its 150 lbs is fine... i work w/ ups everyday

UPS is 150 lbs and under and Fed ex takes them all above 150 lbs.

Fedex Ground says $116, I dont think that is bad. that is with 1000$ insurance too.

I would put more insurance on it. They lost my banshee engine which I only got $200 in insurance for. Wish I would have done 5k!

That aint a bad price. UPS shipped my 80Lb banshee engine for $92 and some change

why? i didnt pay even that much for it, not to mention a new one is only 1200...

ups can ship the 150 lbs, is it 146 packaged or 146 without the packing.

If you ship ups I would definitely insure it, 150lbs is alot of weight it might get beat up a little in the system though.

it was local pickup only. he didnt even list it as shipping. which i knew but it was a good deal. so i asked if a member could pick it up and ship it.

got to love forums/friends

i would but UPS wants ALOT more to ship it than Fedex

i checked it once at 150lbs.

Reg shipping was 200
Freight was 250

Fedex ground is $116 with 1000$ insurance.

Dont get me wrong I love UPS but sometimes they can be really pricy for no apparent reason

i am trying to get it shipped to my work which should save some. if we do go UPS then maybe bill it to my works account, they dont mind as long as i pay it. lol

Have u shipped ups freight before? I think first time shippers now get like a a 50% discount first time shipping.
