Looking into getting a new mod

Went and looked a 2003 F150 Harley Davidson today, going tommorrow to talk money with them. I hope that I can get, I've wanted one since they came out, and now I can afford it.

If you get it and want to mod... let me know. I know a thing or two about that truck.

Well got the final word last night, they had agreed to my offer on the F150, but they only offered me 11.000 for my truck. I didn't even say anything, I just got up and walked out.

Damn... they should've tacked on an at least an extra grand for that new grille of yours.

Seriously though, only 11,000 for a 2 yr old Ranger? Damn.

Yea, I was pissed, He said that the wheels, and all the other stuff that I've done to it decreased the value. If that be the case, I've got a stack of old parts in the garage I can put back on.

according to KBB, the trade in value for the truck with 30,000 miles is only $14,000 and that is for an excellent truck (not saying yours isn't), but dealerships will be pickey to get that price down...

I agree!

You got up and walked out? that is ridiculous!!! You must have no idea what things are worth do ya? 2wd 3.0 ranger isn't the most sought after truck ya know? If I were you I would go back and get your F150 and call it a day, you wont find much better than that.

Hell, they offered me 7,000 for my 2004 4.0 5spd with 60,000 on it! 1. its 2wd, 2. its a stick (most can't drive em anymore, or don't want to) and 3. it had high mileage for its year.

and you didn't run in there and take it? crap man you can get a good $400 out of your wheels, that takes you up to $12,100......

i personally think you are crazy for not taking the $11,700 if you are really wanting to trade....... hey it is your truck....

BTW: how much are you upside down in the truck (how much do you owe on the truck)?

ok, went back to the dealership, they re-apraised my truck, and told me they would give me $13000 for my truck, as it sits. And 11500 if I put it back stock. They went to 27,500 for the Harley, so the way that its looking like my payment will be around 600 a month, and I still have to find out about insurance. If I can afford it with no problem, then i'm going to take them up on there offer. I just have to sit down and figure everything out. I just have to make sure I don't get in over my head. My credit is perfect, and I dont want to mess it up.

for that you could have a Super Duty....or any other 3/4 or 1 ton truck....with a diesel that will get better fuel milage than the HD F-150...

expect at least 200 for insurance on that thing. i pay just over 600 for insurance and truck payment, and i couldnt see doing to much more. if youve got the funds, then id do it, then maybe refinance later.

i wouldnt see why they wouldnt give you more for the wheels and tires becauase they could get more off the resale on most customers. its not like it was lifted or anything to really kill resale, and most people want some dubs on vehicles when they buy them now anyways.

yeah actually I got more for my truck because of my wheels and the other crap (OHC, hurst, etc..) and most of all it was a stick, I wouldve gotten more if it was an automatic too.

id kiss the appraiser if i was given anything over 10 for my truck, lol. it's an ext. cab 4.0 Sohc 4x4 Auto, loaded, too. last year i couldn't get above 6, lol.

a 3.0 2wd would get nothing up here.. you'd have to offer them money to take it. glad theyre giving you 13... good luck with the harley, and get many many pics if you do buy it!
