Looking for a mini antenna for my 09 Ranger

Topic says it all. Also, let me introduce myself, as this is my first post here.

I'm looking for an antenna that's half the size of our regular screw on antennas.

I've seen them on other vehicles before, and am curious if anyone here has one, and could direct me where to find one.

Thanks guys. Looking forward to getting some pics up as I just bought the Truck yesterday. Though, it's my 3rd Ranger owning.

DranMac.

Welcome Dran!!

I have one of the antennas you are talking about but i hate it for if i want to listen to the radio because it gets very poor reception.

i have a mini antenna on mine -- what i did was got a pair of pliers and ripped the top ball off -- cut the antenna and drilled the hole in the ball to fit on..some super glue..works fine and radio is fine too..

Crescent wrench and a mall parking lot full of cars?

If you have an angle grinder, just cut yours in half and then clean up the edges and it will look fine. If you live in near the city you wont have any problems with reception. I get a good signal without even having an antenna.

Thanks for the replies. I did find one that is exactly what I was looking for at my local auto parts supplier. The best part is that it's only $9.99CDN.

It comes with 4 additional couplers to fit almost any size thread.

Here is a pic with it installed.

i got my antenna in a um parking garage dealer lol just when you get one make sure to put some locktite on it and make sure you get an adapter for it. most billet antennas work for chevys so you have to have an adapter to make it work for a ford

Tell me about it. It looks like a joke when I'm going down the highway and it's completely bent over.

It does work though, and for that, it's fine, even if while driving it looks silly.

I found this at Canadian Tire. It's fairly cheap, and it comes with a handful of screws that are different sizes so it should fit almost anything.

If you're in the US, IIRC, there's a place called 'Autozone' that carries auto parts. Look into that.

Or as another member above suggested, just cut down your antenna you are using now.

Just cut stock one and grind down the end so the ball can be remounted.
