Low profile gull wing tool boxes

Does anybody know if these exist? I want to get a low profile tool box and have it so, if possible I dont have to jump in the bed to open the box. It has to be black and preferable steel. its going on a sexy red 2003 xlt supercab w/ 4.0L

LMAO.

You can get a low pro tool box that is accessible from outside the bed that isn't a gull wing too. Most are easily accessible from the side of the truck. Take mine for example:

Size: 158.7 KB

Very easy to get too. Just reach. Only thing i'd change is having a lock on both sides. Once in awhile its a pain to have to go to the drivers side to unlock it, but not too bad.

Mine is a pretty cheap toolbox. Got it of Craigslist for 100. I also wish it was a big deeper, but its also nice to have that extra space under the box.

A gull wing would be nice, but you would have to fork over the cash for one. Not nearly as common.

If I were you, i'd start browsing craigslist. You can find some killer deals on tool boxes.

thanks for the suggestion but I really want one with Steel construction. I'm sure that aluminum is a fine box but I bet they dent fairly easily.

I have the same box as in that last link, except not black... I throw crap around in mine, I've dropped it... no dents. It's actually pretty durable. Steel will be heavier too, and it will rust. Have fun with that.

aluminum is the way to go on toolboxes. UWS boxes are THICK too, my friend has one and I have a kobalt from lowes, mine flexes if I sit on it but is still plenty strong, and his is solid as a rock.
