Made an offer on a new place - Temecula, CA !

Made an offer for a new place in Temecula, CA, approximately 50 miles Northeast of San Diego.
10 acres, with a house and a lot of flat usable land that can be use for other things, like a 30’ x 40’ Garage (can’t wait for the new shop) or even some grape vines.

The house was a foreclosure so as most did, the owners did their worse to make it unusable for the people that were taking their house. I guess you can’t blame them but still it must $ucks to lose the house more than buying it without a lot of stuff there. The house will need some work but if the offer is accepted then it will be worth it.

Was out there for the last two weeks or so, got to look at a lot of properties, some just WAY TOO expensive and some why too worn out.

The location we chose is off of a road called "Ramuda Rd", a country dirt road but passable with a car so the wife “shouldn’t" have a problem, ya right !

Still waiting for a response from the Real Estate Office and the Bank that owns it, was told it will take a little longer for offers to get accepted when the Bank gets involved..

Hoping for the best !

Congrats, hope it works out.

Am I sensing a big Ranger parts sale coming soon?

Scrambler82 06-11-2013 07:27 AM

There might be a 31 spline Ranger rear Axle up for sale , lol, not sure what I will do but I do have a lot of $hit to get rid of.

I will post when and IF there is a sale.

Good luck. That area was hit really hard by the downfall in the economy. And actually a lot of it still is. But it's pretty close to good wheeling and hotter then he'll in the summer so sell all your jackets before the move.

wyldechild 06-11-2013 03:17 PM

Not sure why you'd want to move TO California...a lot of people are trying to get away from it haha.

I live in Temecula, have for 18 years. Thats decently far out there from the main city, but I love it there. I have several friends that live that way as well. Welcome, its a nice hot slightly overcast day today haha, but the weather is generally the best around. Hot in the summer, but rarely to bad and the rest of the year is sublime.

Taylor 06-11-2013 04:59 PM

WHAT!?

So you weren't kidding.

FULLSCALE 06-11-2013 07:03 PM

Hope you get it!! 10 acres of land would be awesome! I live on almost 2 acres that borders town trust land and love the privacy.

Nope ! Looking to up root and go !
The are a is nice, in all the time I have been out visiting there have been maybe 10 days that were cooler and overcast, the rest and there are a lot have been sunny, some hotter than others and very low humidity.
AND the view is worth ten times the cost of the land and house.

My Daugther is married to one of the Kanan Road Country Band Members; just a note, they opened for Scotty McCreery and Eastern Corbert (sp) two fridays ago at the Wine and Hot Air Ballon Festival; really great time, got back stage passes, nice.

Being out of town in the extreme of Wine Country is good because it is quiet, very quiet, NICE !
The view is great, the sun is hot and the SoCal Wines taste sssooo GOOD, what more do you need, well maybe a Farmers Porch and a couple of good chair to lean back on, a good women and a good truck, well maybe a dog too; that sound too much like a country song. LOL

We made a second offer, we know the Bank wouldn’t accept the first that is why we went in low-ball. Then we had to do a third but added the proviso that we are walking after this.
Of course STILL WAITING !
I have never purchased a house and property before, the land I have was given to me and the house I built so this waiting is not only misunderstood by me but I find it annoying as he!!, why the wait ?

Thanks for all of the comments, I am hoping for the best too, I am in SoCal mode and counter the time left here in New England.

If all goes in my favor I will be back in the Temecular around the middle to end of July when the Rod Run is going on, another good thing about the area two Rod Runs a year.

Here is the House !
2500 sq ft, built in 2009, foreclosure 12 months ago, Fanny May Bank was a B!TCH to deal with but it happened faster than I thought it was going to.

The View from the front door, that WILL be a Farmers Porch shortly !

https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1371735100

The new SHOP… one of two but both are basically the same.
There is a third choice for the shop but for some reason I can’t get it load to Photobucket.

First Choice, nothing fancy just a barn type shop, 20 foot center section with two 10 foot side bays, 36 deep.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1371735100

Second Choice which will probably be it, the wife has her hands in it some, same size as first.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1371735100

Third choice is a 30 x 36 foot high peaked building with a 10 foot side bay, no pic.

Any will do, just want one of them before I move in.

Hope these do it for you I have to download some more of the view.

Second closest neighbor ! NICE !

https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1371735311

Side yard looking at the back yard.
There is the closest neighbor but they are over the hill, so to speak.
Haven’t had a face to face yet and don’t plan on it right away.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1371735311

Side yard to the fence line.
This area lends itself to growing some grape vines, well… it is SoCal Wine Country, when you are in Rome do as the Romans do… lol !

Kind of excited getting a new larger shop, the wife isn’t arguing about the size because she wants to be in Cali more than I do.

10 acres and a lot of rocks and a good amount of space, a few coyotes and snakes but that are what guns are for.

FULLSCALE 06-20-2013 08:25 PM

Congrats! Any of those options will make for a nice shop.

Taylor 06-20-2013 08:43 PM

NICE!!

That looks like a nice place.

Congrats Grev. Your wife spoke a lot about CA.
I hope you guys enjoy.

Let me know if you have anything that you want to get rid of hahahah.

I don’t want to turn this into a classified thread so I will post any I have to sell in another thread.

There should be a few things.
Although the Jeep isn’t selling so it will need to go to Cali with me, maybe I will find time out there to finish her up.

Four vehicles to go to Cali, that a lot of driving, lol… transport all four at the same time.

Dangerangerbuck95 06-22-2013 07:41 AM

Looks sweet

Scrambler82 06-22-2013 07:55 AM

Decided on my third choice for the shop, I know no pics of it.

28 x 36 approximately, main building with a 10 x 36 side bay.
14’ interior clearance with a 12.5/wall on the main building and a 9.5/wall on the side bay.
12 x 12 main door centered on the main building and an 8 x8 side bay door.
Some windows and a passage door and a Cupola with weather vane, always wanted one of those things. (maybe I can do something with LEDs on the Cupola, where is Buggman when you need him).

Plans are being drawn up as I type this and I should have engineering drawing next week, approve it, pay for it and they will make it.

Here is an Armstrong Steel Building, the outside shape is the main thing, mine will have different framing, no large main beams, more like a stick built but with metal studs and the doors will be different.

This is for the look only !

Its all I could copy over, funny the site must have things locked up.

$hit has hit the fan !
Things were going way too easy and I knew it !
Part of the land along the access road was taken by the county, problem is the land they took has the well on it ! WTF ! Why wasn't it revealed before this, we would have lowered our offer to allow for a new well.
Also seems they forogt what their counter-offer was and the paperwork has a higher price than the counter-offer, again WTF !

So we are dead on the sands of Temecula waiting for answers.

joshyddog 07-04-2013 05:16 PM

Damm that sucks..

FULLSCALE 07-04-2013 08:42 PM

Damn... I hope it all works out!

Scrambler82 07-05-2013 05:01 AM

A little good news…

Fanny Mae has recognized our first offer, the one they accepted… funny how that works, but has not acknowledged their acceptance of it instead they re-counter-offered - WTF is going on.

We are waiting for their response, our rep has said just to wait but "why are we waiting they already had accepted our offer” ?

As I said before this is the first time going through this $hit for the wife and I, PITA is all I can say.

We did find out two things, the access road has some sort of group organization that has control of it and the repair of same, they are the ones that have asked for land to make the road better not the county. We also found out that the land they want isn’t as much as first suspected, all that is asked for is access to a few feet of land along the road so horses can walk along the road without being in the actual road… OK I can live with that and the fact that the well is safe.

Now if the f’ing Fanny Mae will get off their @sses and get this done… I can start selling $hit and the house in MA and move to California, say goodbye to any more snow and start the new shop, can’t wait for that.
