Ok, i have it narrowed down to a Flowmaster 40 Series muffler, single in, dual out, with 3 inch tips. im also thinking about making my tips black some how....??? Paint???

tips and suggestions welcomed!!

BLACK TIPS WOULD BE PIMP!!....i have flowmaster 3 inch tips that say flowmaster on them....and man get u a pair of them.. and have them painted black...that would be cool...and very diffrent...and i'm running that same set up single in dual out 3 inch tips.. but i'm runing it on a 4 banger lol sounds nice a deep though

you really think the black tips not a glossy black, but just flat black would look badarse?

my tag says BLCKOUT .... im going with the blckout theme.... but i dunno, i might stick with chrome

i honestly think it owuld look kick ***....i'v never seen tips painted before and wouln't know what to tell u about how to or where to take them to get it done..but yes black chrome would look sick....but thats just me any one else wanta chime in?

it would look good but it might not last too long... i would stick with chrome personally... what size pipes are you going to use?

i'd say no bigger than 2.25 and then run a 3 inch pipes...it's what i have and sounds nice and not ricey...and i have the 2.8 it should sound good with the 4.0 lol anyway good luck on you choice and let us know what u deside

i have the 4.0 and the set up you want. my tips are .5 bigger thier 3"

i have an auto too..

and um, i say 2.5" piping, thats what i have. 2.25" is stock for the 4.0

all the way from the cat? run 2.5 to the muffler, and then dual 2.5 to the tips?

i have had black pipes, and trust me... chrome and aluminum look 100x better..

I was thinking more along the lines of Black chrome? hmmm o well...i still think it would be diffrent but your probally right chrome would probally look as good as black

I have 2.5" piping on my Flowmaster 1-in-2-out 40 series, leading to 12" long 3" rolled stainless steel tips and it sounds great. It would probably sound better yet on a 4.0L.
