Manifold studs breaking...

I want to put some headers on my truck but i am really paranoid of breaking a exhaust manifold stud in the head. I was just wondering if Ranger headers studs were really known for breaking or if they came out pretty good.

mine broke off while sitting in the driveway.

...but appearntly my manifold was warped somehow? and the added stress (along with an air bubble in the stud) made it break off

the rest of the bolts came out fairly easy though apparently

there isnt really a way to say if they are going to break or if they wont. the best way is with a good impact wrench but there isnt really any room for one in there just go slow and easy and lub them the day b4 but dont drive your truck one you put the lub on

Spray them liberally with PB Blaster a couple of days ahead of time. Do this multiple times and the nuts should come right off.

I have the rear bolt broken on both manifolds and the driver side is leaking there. It makes a very noticeable tapping sound until it warms up to operating temp then it get quiet (but still noticeable sometimes). I think mine are warped though so if yours arent warped then it should be ok.

Thats on my chevy but its all the same when it comes to this.
