Manual to Power windows?

Just wondering if anyone has gone through to do this? I would like to do the conversion, but I have no idea what I'm doing. Has anyone done this that they can give a little insight?

Thanks guys!

I was also wondering about this conversion, It is a pain to have roll up windows but on the other hand motors go bad and cables get stretched and off track and sometimes power windows are a pain, plus in the winter they freeze. But it would be nice to have pw.

I added power doors. This is the factory wiring I did.

personally i prefer manual windows.....

not much to go wrong with them, guaranteed to always work

both have their pros and cons

but thats just my opinion / 2 cents

Nice job John but that looks like way to much of a hassle to put that in.

What sucks is having a hole in your door so you need new door pannels. I want power locks, but not windows.

Not guaranteed. Manual windows can go bad, just like power windows.

But I agree, I just like power ones cause I am lazy.

Thanks, In my case I had to do it because of the doors I had but I prefer them anyway. I think it was work it because I am still driving the truck and they work like factory windows should.

I definitely wanted the manual windows. I had a bad experience with one of my Ford Tempo's windows and don't want power windows again. Just to replace one motor was $150 just for the part....no thanks.
