Mayday!
Mayday!
ok not really.
But seriously though. I need some professional help from the forum experts. I was driving back from hunting today on the freeway and I had my cruise set at about 76. when I went up a hill and it down shifted to keep speed it started to cut out at around 3500 RPMS. Then my check engine light starts flashing. After I get to the top and the RPMS drop back down its all good again , no CEL nothing and the truck runs fine. This happened a few times but when it idles it runs fine and when Im driving normal its fine. It seems like it only does it when the truck is under heavy load. I looked in the manual and it says flashing cel means misfire. Also I had the diagnostics checked and it said nothing stored. WTF! why is this happening. I dont know what the deal is please help.

Plugs, wires, fuel filter would be good possibilities. The flashing CEL means misfire detected in real time. Unless it persists long enough and/or the misfires are a high enough percentage of firing events, no code will be stored.
