CRAP. I suck. OKAY.....xcab doors do have holes for the molding. I'll admit it that I totally spaced that point. I believe 98-05 got the black crap....and if it's got the black crap, it'll have holes.

Here's Brenton's old Maz...

I just wanted to say that I'm very intrigued by the little subtle differences between Rangers and B-series. It's like a nice little game because most of the time, whenever I start really looking at them, just about everytime I notice something different between the two.

Heck....even made a thread dedicated to it(which I hope you post in Mike!)... https://www.ranger-forums.com/f40/ma...details-81238/

01-03 Maz have light gray interior and dark grey trim inside...where as ranger had dark grey with black trim. 04 is when Maz went to dark grey. The 04+ gauges are ( .Y. )'s! Belive they're black face w/ silver trim and another is white face with silver trim. Pretty neat all the little tiny differences are. Heck...I must've forgot that maz's still have chrome rear bumpers. 05 was ranger's last year of chrome rear bumpers.

look at the pic right above this, the body line is shown well in that pic... about 2-3 inches below the top of the tailgate, there is a body line, on the mazda, it's a single bevel, on the fords, it's a double bevel, the mazda is much less noticable... here is one of my truck, being the mazda has 1 sharp edge, the other sloped, the ford is sharp on both

this can be seen on the box also, it's a very subtle difference...

doors may be the same, i said they were different, because of the body line... i could be wrong on that

can be seen here too

no, that one, it's obvious for other reasons, the body lines on that truck look the same as the stx... as do a fair number of the mazda beds, which i realized after i was looking through pictures of the mazdas, but i do stand firm that some have the soft line which i was talking about

stand firm all ya want your still wrong fords not going to retool to make 2 different mazda beds so that the lines are soooo suddel that only a weezl can tell them apart you have hade not one but two mazda owners tell you and shane (a RBV guru) tell you that YOUR WRONG and you still refuse to admit YOU ARE WRONG before you said hard lines now you are saying soft lines
the orignial start of all this was what i post on turning my 08 mazda into a 08 ranger all the pics to prove stuff have been older mazdas (all the ext cabs were 00 or older look at the grill and headlights) and jugging buy the wheels on the single cab you posted it was like a 02(i could be wrong and ill admit it when i am)

BUY A MAZDA OR GTFO

As for tailgate wise they are identical I'm trying to find a pic of my old 94 Ranger with a Mazda tailgate on it that the body lines lined up and matched perfectly.

i wouldnt waist your time he will still say he is right and we are wrong and that they match those years and not the new ones and that the hard lines on the new ones match and the soft lines dont bla bla bla bla bla bla

i actually like it a lil more....but ya, definitely different

**double edit, as for the chrome around the window, on a single cab it would not flow right because the oem version is meant to also circle around the extended cab's window....single cabs never had the chrome trim around the windows.
