EGR Hoses

Ok, I have 2 hoses I don't know where they go.

I have a 1985 Ford Ranger 2.8L V6 2wd carb 5 speed 171 engine.

The hose coming from the EGR valve

the top left of the picture, where does that hose go to?

Does it go to the hose input thing on the plastic air thing where the air sensor or mass airflow sensor is? because I know a hose goes there..

I also have another loose hose, it's from some weird cylinder which connects to another weird cylinder on the right of the engine closer to the front..

if anyone has the same truck could you please take a picture for me

thanks

No, sorry. I don't even know what that is, haha.

I will take a picture shortly.

This ties into the EGR system and throws a check engine light. I had an issue with this not too long ago. I thought you might be referring to this when you mentioned the 2 hoses and the plastic sensor. Most people are visual so a picture will help a lot.

Hose #1 goes to the Evap system. Should go to intake vacuum.

Hose #2 comes off of the EGR valve. Should go to the TAB/TAD solenoids.

Thanks for the reply, by TAB/TAD solenoids are you referring to the EGR Vacuum Solenoid?

Ok, the TAB and TAP solenoids are located on the left side mounted on the frame. The hose on the EGR valve wouldn't reach that far. Am I missing something?
