Guys...I don't think we're thinking of the same ranger here....yellow with graphics....that truck was a 2wd and has a 4BT in it, not a 5.9(6BT or ISB). Guy who has that trucks name on youtube is 'stackedranger' and I believe his lisence plate says that too? Was featured in a couple magazines.

Well...back on topic....

well of course you'll break parts! 1/4 ton truck with a 1ton truck engine!! So no, a 3.0 trans will not bolt up to a 4.0(either 4.0). Why take the engine out, waste all that hard work and money on it if you didn't plan on upgrading everything else?? Axles, trans, driveshafts, etc. Surely I hope you knew nothing would last until you upgraded stuff.

I already took it out and dropped the 4.0 back in it would hold up until people wanted to c what it had I new it wouldn't hold up but my uncle had a 2005 cummins he wrecked and offered to give me the motor and we built the brackets and cross members to bolt it in so why not try it I still have everything to put it back if I want to
