MPG... whats everyone getting?
right now im averaging about 16.8 mpg out of a tank. I expected better, but the engine isnt even broken in yet. I still have less than 1000 miles on the truck so i expect it to get better by 5000 miles.
My old 3.0 would get around 20mpg on average.

Just filled up today, my last tank was 389.85 miles out of 17.28 gallons, so an average of 22.56 mpg, right around the EPA average (21 city, 24 hwy). Probably about 75% hwy, and other than a couple 0-60 runs just for giggles, I never really shift above 3k rpm, and keep it at 65 mph on the highway which is just a tick under 3k rpm.
Considering I'm still running on the stock car-sized wheels and tires, I must be due for a tune-up/seafoam/compression test/etc.

I got 208 out of 17 gallons yesterday. Has gone in the crapper since i replaced the heads last fall. I just thank god gas isn't 4 bucks a gallon or I'd be ridin the bus.
I've been getting about 16.7 on average for the last few months. That is on a completely stock truck (Sport 4x4, 4.0, 5 speed auto). That is for a 20 mile commute on 55 mph highways driving like the grandpaw I am. My cousin gets 18-20 with his 4x4 F150 Supercrew 5.4. At this rate I am seriously considering becoming an ex-Ranger owner and getting a truck with a real back seat. I didn't expect economy car mileage, but it should at least equal the mileage of a real truck!
