My ABS light turns on, Why?
My ABS light turns on, Why?
Im new to this forum. I joined to learn and share information about my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT.
My question is: Why does my ABS light turn on?
When I'm driving down the road, my ABS light will turn on and if I am going lets say 60 miles per hour, if I turn my signal light to pass a vehicle, my speedometer will begin to bounce up and down and my engine will being to sputter. Sometimes the light stays on for a couple of days and then turns off all by itself. Then there are times that the light turns on for a few minutes then, goes away. I've noticed that, whenever the ABS light turns on, my truck begins to sputter.
Any information will be greatly appreciated!

As to why it may be malfunctioning I have no idea.
most brilliant statement ive heard all night!!! hahaha
hahaha im just messing with you man! but IMO ABS is sketchy in off pavement situations!!!
for the OP, check your fuses first, and then maybe pop a wheel off and inspect the sensors and electrical connections.

I probably should've added "on pavement" at the end of that statment, haha.
