well lets start out with i was driving cross country to report to my new unit.... so i get about halfway just make it to Arkansas and my thermostat got stuck closed didnt catch it in time so i blew the head gasket... called AAA was sitting on the side of I-30 for about 2 hours waiting for a tow truck... the tow truck finally shows up... i decide to get it towed to the closest auto part store so i can start working on it and try a quick fix so i can atleast make it home or somewhere close to home.... i decide to throw some bar seal into the radiator and hopefully close up the leak on the head gasket.... it works for about 300 miles witch i was actually really surprised about i was running the cooling system with no pressure with the radiator cap screwed open so it wouldn't put to much pressure on the head gasket... everything seemed fine running cool and everything untill all of a sudden i lost compression and cracked the head... so here i am stuck on a saturday morning in Arkansas... called all the auto transports i could to get quotes to ship it to va... the only bad thing with that idea was i couldent get a rental car one way to Virginia witch was pissing me off.... so since everything was closed on the weekend i was stuck in a knock off days hotel called sunrise hotel all weekend waiting till Monday so i could fork out 1100 bucks to rent a uhaul with a trailer so i can get it home...... had to walk to the uhaul place cause this town is so small theres no cab service..... but finnaly i get the uhaul realize i cant get it on the damn trailor by myself so i had to call AAA again luckaly the tow drivor was nice and gave me hand with putting it on the trailor.... finally get on the road for the rest of the 900 miles to go.. just ordered the new 3.0 and almost done putting everything back together......

well thats my horror story just needed to rant......

i know the feeling. got stuck in manasseess va. one time on my way home. really mmessed up my yearly trip home and the family was relly scared of the place. nasty hotel and repair shop that just wanted to rip us off. good luck with that cool looking ranger
