My New Mod. The most Bad @$$ 3rd Brake light
Well I decided to do my first LED retro so all my exterior lighting will be LED.
First for the Parts I used. The Brake lights I used 42 Phillips Lumileds at approximately 5 lumens each that's a 210 Lumen Brake light.
Voltage regulator is a Sharp PQ12RD21 which is a 12v regulator.
For the Cargo Lights I used 2 Cree XT-E LEDs one on each side. Driven by a LUX Drive 700mA Flex Block. The cargo lights will be about 500 lumens. I will have some TIR style optics on them so the light is more focused.
Well here are the pictures

To give you an idea of brightness this is how bright they are with 9 LEDs lit up

This was from across the room with all 42 lit up

Some look slightly different I think its the iphone camera doing that

This is in direct sun light It looks brighter in person

These are the Cargo lights

This is the drive

More will come later when I get the stuff to finish them up. Let me know what you think

He sold both his rangers and dropped of the face of the earth. Haha.
I will also be making some high power led lighting for the OHC and Mustang dome light. Oh and for the brake light I will be trying to cram as many LEDs as I can into the empty space under the reverse light on the 06+ tails.
I also have a ton of Amber Lumileds I am trying to figure out something to do with them.

Good, that dude was cocky for some reason? After he dissed my LED bolts for the rear license plate, I lost all respect. Sorry about my rant.
This mod looks good BTM.

I've spent about $75 on it including all the parts including the $25 3rd brake light housing. Plus a few hours of labor and it's way brighter and looks better than any commercially available light out there.
