Nearly Free Craftsman Tools!

Well, a few of my friends and I usually go pawn shopping about once a week. Over the past 3 weeks I have been finding Craftsman sockets at this one store and I have accumulated around 16 sockets and 1 wrench at the price of $4.50 total. Today, I had a good idea to go out to Sears and see if they would replace the stripped sockets. Well, they did it on the spot and I got 4 brand new sockets and 1 brand new wrench worth $25.50 retail and I have only spent 4 and a half dollars. So now I have 12 older sockets in good shape and four brand new sockets plus 1 wrench for 4 and a half dollars. I think it is pretty cool

Just some tips for when you guys try it
1- Only go to the counter when there is a younger guy or any age woman there because they usually do not look at the tools first.
2- Only get around 7 sockets a time or they will charge you more, otherwise it just looks like you are replacing some tools in your set and they will sell them for cheap.
3-THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. OFFER A DIRT CHEAP AMOUNT. THE FIRST TIME I WENT I GOT 8 SOCKETS FOR 1 DOLLAR. THE SECOND TIME I WENT I GOT 1 DEEP SOCKET, THE LONG ONES, FOR 50 CENTS (IT RETAILS AT SEARS FOR 7 DOLLARS) THE LAST TIME I WENT THERE WAS AN OLD GUY WORKING SO HE MADE ME PAY 3 DOLLARS FOR 8 SOCKETS. THE WORST THEY CAN DO IS SAY NO.

I've thought about this myself, but I really only need a decent toolbox. The one I used (plastic one I got for Christmas many moons ago) is literally starting to fall apart. What I need to do is make a rig for hauling my tools around at the JY. The owner will drive me down there, then leave me on my own to pick what I need and walk back to the store. Anyways, thanks for the heads up. I really need to get some deep sockets and box wrenches.
