Icon9 Need Advice, To sell or not to sell that's my question.

Well as my title say's I am very seriously considering selling my truck cause I don't want the payment anymore without a job. I do have another truck to drive, my little 'yota. I still owe $10,300. I love my truck but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make it, no it's not sell to survive or keep and die. I just need to get out from under the payment. never missed one either but, I don't know, it would give me more money but I then I couldn't go wheeling anymore here or with any of you guy's. I know it probably sounds like a no-brainer, but I really hate to get rid of it but I really hate the payment. everything was fine when I was working but. I really think it would help me until I get another job. I use to build machines so I have all kids of different skill's to get job's but seems like all the jobs I have the skill's for are shutting down. oh well. haha. I'm not depressed either just wanted some advice thanks in advance guy's (girls)

Have you checked to see about getting it refinanced at a better rate?

Sad thing is that it probably has to go. It sucks and it's nice to have reliable transportation, but if the money to make the payment isn't there, it might be wise to say goodbye. I'm going through the same stuff you're going through.....the jobs i'm qualified for and have experience in are shutting down/laying off/not hiring. I guess i'm lucky to have paid it off when I was making bank. Good luck with whatever you do decide to do.

well notsure can't really remember need to check. but I have had it two years. at 362.41 a month, the truck was 14,000 when I got it 2yrs ago add all the charges they have plus a warranty. I'm thinking it was nearly 18,000 to 19,000 I got ripped a new one in a way cause I had 4,000 to puit down and I still owe 10,300. I know interest taken out is $154 so any way, that's put of the 362.41. to sell or wait? I hopefully willbe hearing from either Alliance coal or Armstrong coal, for a job this week or next.

You'd get like 8 or 9 for it tops unfortunately. Sorry to say but you're upsidedown on this truck.

haha ya im jobless too mind you my payments are only 140 cdn a month.. but a friend of mine bought a brand new dodge aspen with the HEMI in it and paid like 60,000 for it and his payments were 600 and some change a month. now we i bought my truck i was told that if i couldnt make the regular payments i could set it up so i only make the interest payments.. now luckily i havent had to do that yet... but you should look into it as well.. it would be a shame to have to sell her... and i told this friend to ask about it.. he's jobless now too so he told the place that he bought it from to come and get it because he couldnt pay for it.. now he's driving an 800 dollar chevy 1500 reg cab V8 auto.

Yeah x2 what Shane said, if that. High miles on a modded vehicle = don't keep your fingers crossed. Throw it up on craigslist and see what offers you get.

Damn dude that is a big payment! We financed 20ish on the new Legacy GT and we're paying $321/mo.
Sounds like you're upside down, but it doesn't hurt to try to sell it. When times are rough, sometimes you have to sacrifice to keep your head above water. Sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do...

Keep Your truck, I'm buying that Level 2 FX4 with 88k miles for $7500. You will never get over $10,000 for it.

Throw it up for sale. Worse thing that is going to happen is that you don't get what your asking for it and it doesn't sell.

Well posted the truck on Craigs list and about 6 or so hours later I got somebody interested in it from Evansville. I put the pric at 11,000 and obviously it's too high, but I figured all that would happen was not getting a response. he did say it was a little high considering the year and mileage but was interested if I wanted to come down so I told I cant go no lower than payoff, so now I 'm waiting on a response. (I just sent him the message) probably will come out an test drive it. so hopefully, if not ohwell.
