heated garage= rust?

so I don't know if this is true, but I heard that a heated garage causes rust. I live in sd and I think they use salt, or a salt mix. my garage stays a nice 75 degrees all winter. after a nice snow storm, I park it in the garage, and it usually is bone dry within an hour. even on a slushy day. will this promote rust on my frame or any other parts. what parts are critical? I have a slight undercoating, not a real thick one. but its usually dry soon after it makes it in.

Uhhh not really. A heated garage should dry off your vehicles under carraige quicker and dry vehicle = not rusting.

the salt on the roads is what eats away at metal. temperature shouldn't promote rust, just keep frame clean.

I was thinking washing it every 2 weeks or so when it gets above freezing should keep it clean?

it should. if you're driving in a storm, look for buildup of slush and snow when you get in the garage. thats usually where the salt will get trapped, build up, and eventually corrode the frame.

not really unless you're parking on dirt/gravel opposed to pavement.
I don't have a garage and i have no rust on my frame. my shackles need to be replaced in the spring but thats a common part on all trucks that goes over time.
