My 2008 2.3 L Ranger passenger seat is missing the lever to move it back and fourth, it’s was left all the way back and I have little to no storage behind the seat and of course it’s a safety hazard the passenger.

On each rail there should be a "pivot rod", you can see it in the first two pictures for the right rail, but the wire mold is blocking it in the other pic of left rail

The u shaped seat adjuster bar sits on those pivots, and then pulls DOWN on the black piece just behind them on both sides, when you lift the adjuster bar UP

Unsuccessful attempt

I recently was able to push down the black tabs with long flat heads the seat didn’t budge, I removed the plastic around the seat to spray WD-40 I tried again to no success.
i found it odd how under the seat was more rusted and some of the wiring mounts are messed up than the driver side. Maybe they replaced it or took it off some reason...

You may have to pull the seat out and add the adjustment bar, and see why its not sliding

And maybe the seat does slide, and that was the problem, wasn't locking in place, so someone has jamb the slides so it won't move
