Need a Mechanic/Shop

Can anyone recommend a good Ranger mechanic/shop in (or near) Florida do a new V8 conversion in my 1993 4.0L Ranger? Instead of going with a general local speed shop, I'd like to get someone who knows and appreciates Rangers and who already has a familiarity with the swap process particular to these vehicles.

more than 2 times the vehicles original fuel economy

Has anyone done a write up on this? I’d love to see the swap done on 07+

here you go

Diesel Swaps: What About A Kubota? Here's How It Can Be Done

you will have to swap in a GM 700R4 auto overdrive tranny for this adapter

they install lower transmission gearing which is better for diesels and fuel economy

one of those companies did offer a ford ranger transmission adapter , BUT! the diesel engines torque ended up grenading the manual transmission.

so they ended up just recommending the 700R4 tranny that were bolted behind the GM 6.2 and 6.5 litre diesel engines .

they can handle the torque output just fine .

basically you send them your ECM and PCM and wiring harness , and they remove all of the wiring that is not needed , and they re-program the ECM and PCM to just read from the senders that are still required
