Need new tires and looking for recommendations

I need to replace all four tires on my 94 Ranger and I'm looking for recommendations on what brand/type to get from people who know more about this then me, lol.

I live in the Eastern U.S. and winters can get pretty crappy here with snow and what not.

I know I'm already at a disadvantage since my Ranger is RWD but my brother says a good set of tires can make all the difference traversing in the snow. Is there a certain brand/type of tire you guys would recommend for all year around driving but would also be good for driving in the snow?

Thanks for any help!

i just went with a set of kumho road venture at 51's ... mainly because of price and they are "mountain/snowflake" marked tires. happy sofar but no snow experience yet..
they are great in heavy rain.
bfg a/t k02's are about 200 a piece around here so price was an issue...
i can get away with P rated tires because i don't haul heavy loads which makes them cheaper.
reviews on tire rack were good overall

Not sure if you're looking for an A/T or not, but I loved my Hankook Dynapros. Great all around tire and did very well in the winter. Put 40,000 miles on them and they still had half tread or better when I sold them.
