My truck has been leaking oil for a long time now and it is driving me crazy. After studying the leak I thought is was coming from the back of the passenger side valve cover. So this weekend I replaced the valve cover gasket and it is still leaking. Now I think it is leaking from some big hex head bolt in the back of the head. Does anyone know what this is. I use the Mobil 1 5W-30 Clean 5000 Oil. Also the bottom of my truck looks like the truck in the attached thread.

I would spend some time and give the engine on that side a serious cleaning, drive it for a week or two and then do a few miles down some dusty roads. That should allow you to pinpoint it. The highest point of oil and dirt will be your leak source.
