nerf bars

nerf bars

anyone weld there nerf bars to their truck? i got a set of factory ones a while ago, and when i looked for pics on where the bolts go in the rear, they look nothing a like. is it even possible to weld it on? u think it'd be safe?

I've never seen it, dont do it.

Where the step bars mount is to some thin sheet metal on the body, it would be a very bad idea to try and weld that.

yea, was kinda worried about that. i just dont see how the rear's of the factory nerf bars bolt up. there's no place to do it on my 99 stepside. the few pics i found that actually showed where to bolt the rears on a stepside, looked nothing like mine...
