You should be able to order your '09 now... I ordered my '08 in July of '07 and picked it up last august... 1 YEAR BABY!!

 

I didnt know full blown paint job (2 colors )would cost about 5 K ????

I cant afford that much... but I talked to the Ford agent and he said
nothing changed in the 2008 and 2009...

so wouldnt it be cheaper for me to get a '08 XLT and find a bargain
.... Ford is giving away instant 2500 off...which would bring the XLT
almost fully laoded to a price point below 20k...

I only figured about 2k for paint job... but you got me thinking now !

I am also moving away from the grabber orange... (DisturbedESV jumps up happy)
I sort of like the Yellow and grey combination better...like Hummer or Jeep

 

2008 is definately going to be cheaper, the only issue is you'll be stuck with "what's left" and may have limited options.... Yellow and grey is a great combo... good choice

wow! I wonder if thats gonna happen. The two optiona are 4 banger and 4.0 six banger. I wonder if single cab is 4 banger only? you have me curious for sure.

 

i read in a motortrend magazine that they are shutting down the ranger factories and are going to bring a new look to the ford rangers which means importing them from another country

 

Last I heard the '09 was the last year for the ranger and in '10 they are coming out with the F100... not sure how accurate that was though

 

No they're keeping it to 11, it was in all the newspapers and everything.

 

Somebody might be getting a reg cab 4.0 '09 possibly...

I hope you can get a manual 2wd regcab w/ the 4.0...

 

Anyone wanna bet they keep the 4.0 for extended cabs and 2.3 for reg cabs only? it would save money on their part and that seems to be all ford is interested in when it comes to the ranger.

 

That's Ford's plan, no reg cab 4X4's due to no more 3.0.
So losing the 3.0 means losing everything that had a 3.0 exclusively.

 

Mine is yellow with the gray because I have FX4 on my 07 and I have now seen two others like mine in person. Once on vacation in MO and the other at the gas station last week. I still like mine the best...Even though I would like an orange one to complete my collection of Municipal Vehicles.....LOL

 

they quit putting yellow on the rangers in 07, grabber orange replaced it.

Don't hold your breath for the F-100, Ford has put a end to it as of right now as they shift their focus to more fuel efficient vehicles.

I also read recently that the F-100 has been put on hold indefinitely and Ford will focus 100% on the F-150 with an EcoBoost engine.

 

F100 I would say is dead. the next Ranger will be the global Ranger. which should be here in 2012. read online that what Ford sells outside of the U.S. will be sold here in the states. the 2012 Fusion will be the Mondeo. they already announced where getting the great Euro Focus. the all new Fiesta, and the Transit connect. also read that Mercury's getting the all new Ka.

Ford announced that Ranger sales are only down %4 for the year. which for how bad truck sales are right now thats not that bad.

 

I agree those Orange sport tracs are sweet....What color of orange is that called on those?

 

I don't know....but i've got to record the paint code and find out the proper name of it. I saw one at the local dealer today....in love still. lol.
