all new camaros look like crap IMO, yet that new engine is really responsive to upgrades. Stock dyno is 370-80ish btw... with cams, intake, exhaust and a good tune it will be at 490ish. Havent seen a properly tuned '10 camaro go down the strip though.

I'm still trying to figure out what LT means on those times..."Less (spare) Tire"??

It's prolly something easy, and I'm still asleep lol.

Tell you what..go post those times on a camaro forum and see if they call the BS flag!
Well you Got the pics, If they are lying then one of two things would have had to have happened, either he and several others from the club got together photoshopped it and all said it was the truth (not likely in that ball busting group) or he would have had to modify a rental car, maybe some guys on youtube with tiny pecker syndrome would, but this guy wouldn't care, he has cars that are quicker than that. He had absolutely nothing to prove. He doesn't even liek the car, he said it has all the negatives of a vette without any of the positives. I would love to post time slips, he had them, I have seen them in pics and I think someone even posted a vid of it on the website, but the damn website has been down for two days. ImpalaSSforum.com It is driving me nuts! Arghhhh. I hate argueing stuff I know is right and I can prove for two days. Like I said that was his best time. Most were in the 12.5 to 12.8 range (I think this is going off memory now) this was his best time.

I don't know, It was in Texas. I would love to tell you, but I didn't go so I never looked into it and the website is down. I am friends with him on Facebook, I will ask when I get home (can't Facebook at work)

Edit Looking at the pics it looks like "Dallas Raceway"? I know the event was held at Texas motor speedway, but that is not where the Drag racing was. TMS was just for Autocross and the car show. I did hear they were drag racing down Pit road for fun, but As you can tell that is not pit road.

You got the pics, so I can not say your lieing but the best time I show is 12.86 @ 107.70 mph with a time slip

Are you sure he didn't run a 1/8th and it calculated the 1/4 mile?

Why would that show up on the board? The calculated times are usually on the Ticket.

I've seen people post "projected" Time slips from an 1/8 mile track, but it is silly, cause there are too many Variables. A cars acceleration isn't a smooth curve. I do know if this was "Dallas Raceway" like I think that sign says. It is a 1/4 mile track.

I don't know you guys got me doubting myself now, and I know this guy and I know he wouldn't lie or do any thing like that. He wouldn't have cared, hell he didn't even take those pics someone else who was there posted them (he was driving LOL) . Either way it is a fast car, I just wish it wasn't so ugly, I want a LS powered 2 Door vehicle so bad it hurts but they keep putting it in lame looking cars.

LOL I am 6'3" I have driven many Fourth gen F-bodies, I practically have to lay the seat down into the back seat to get my head in. Plus I think the 98-02 camaro is boring looking and the T/A looks like a batmobile.

Buddy of mine put a LS-1 drive train into a nissan 300Z and added nitrous on top of that. Talk about a rocket. Let me see if i can dig up a pic.

Not that it matters, but the MPH is not tied to the time, Acceleration rates yada change things. I found a few cars after you first said that, that had a 12.3'ish at 107 ish quarter times.

I am more doubting equipment now. Either way though, it is very possible to get an L99 Car in the 12's stock. Which when you figure a few years ago mid 14's were impressive to most people, times are good right now for performance.

I know the acceleration has more to do with it, but just seems the speed should be a little faster

I have seen camaro's in the mid - high 12s. But low 12s is crazy.

I just have a hard time believing its completely factory stock.

I just got a text from him and he says the time is legit. He said it was his best time. 50* Outside with traction control off. Take that for what it is worth.
