new meats for the exploder

slapped a new set of tires on my new explorer! had to get rid of the dinky 235x75r15 stockers.

have a little bit of cali lean going on
ordered shackels for the back and they are in the mail. will throw an aal if i end up wanting a little more lift out of the rear.

decided on a set of 32x1150r15 BFG all terrains

Not bad. I bet the shackles will get you the height you want.

How does it get along with the tires. Should be running 3.73s on there, right? I felt like our 97 explorer 4.0L with 3.73s and auto was kind of a dog with 31s.

You know what sucks about that year Explorer, is the reflective brown window tint. Ours had that too so I never tinted the front windows.

i havent looked at it yet, but was planning on some tint in the near future. is it a film or is it made into the glass? i was just planning on slapping on some 5% all the way around. exhaust first though

Slam it, SC it, throw on some Saleens or Cobras, and have a badass lowered AWD Explorer.

The tint is part of the glass. Even with dark tint all around the rear is going to be reflective.

One day I want to pick up a regular cab 4x4 ranger and swap in a built 5.0L with the AWD transfer case, lower it a couple inches (2wd height) and put a nice quiet exhaust on it. It would make a fun daily driver.

Nice i'm thinking about getting an explorer just like that here soon. goal is to crank the tbars some and throw some shackles on it and 32's and call it a day.
